Client: Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation

Role: Art Direction, Design, and Photography

To promote the Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation's Tour de Greenbelt this campaign was developed by Manifest Communications. I was brought on to execute the concept - the most substantial part of this being a series of photographs featuring Greenbelt animals and bikes. The original concept storyboards described three images - one of a frog on the handlebars of a country bike with a blue sky background, another with baby ducks following a bike as if it was their mother, and the last with a piglet sitting in the basket of a bike. All needed to be in "Greenbelt" like locations. I was in charge of all elements for the successful production of these concepts - locations, props, logistics, and the photography. I believe the results are a success.

The beautiful bikes were kindly provided by Curbside Cycle. The frog is a resident at The University of Toronto's Department of Cell and Systems Biology and was so happy to get out in the sun and pose for the camera (can't you tell from his smile?). The baby ducks and the piglet were provided by Puck's Farm, which is also the location/background used in all the images. The frog was shot on the U of T campus but I replaced the background with a landscape I shot while at Puck's. My thanks go out to all that helped with this project. Everyone was very kind.
